Next Generation – Cleo Gilmour
Cleo is the General Manager and Co Founder of LILO Desserts, a New Zealand fruit-tech start up developing value-add solutions to New Zealand produce. LILO is on a mission to open minds as well as tastebuds to new possibilities of how we enjoy New Zealand fruit and shape the future of Aotearoa’s food system. The LILO team have recently released New Zealand’s first dairy free cheesecake made using 100% New Zealand fruit. Through orchard and industry collaboration LILO is combining the best of nature with emerging food technology to harness more goodness from, and reduce waste in the orchard industry.
LILO was inspired by Cleo’s background working in Shanghai at United Media Solution where she advised New Zealand brands on building their China digital marketing strategies. She has worked with brands in the FMCG, Education, Tourism and luxury markets with a particular passion for New Zealand food brands.
Cleo was a recipient of a Prime Minister’s Scholarship to Asia to learn Mandarin, she continues to use these skills as a content creator on China’s largest lifestyle platform Little Red Book where she vlogs about New Zealand lifestyle, culture and food. Cleo is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and a member of the Dunedin Shanghai Association.
