NZ-CN Next Generation Leadership Event – 2 November

Organized by New Zealand China Council

The purpose of this daylong event is to reflect on collective vision for the future of the relationship and to develop some recommendations which NZCC Advisory Board members Sam and Naisi can relay to the Council. The event will include:

• Briefing about the NZ China relationship
• Presentation on Chinese Language Learning in New Zealand and Kiwi Students Studying in China (I.e. Current situation / public perception / barriers) followed by a break-out session to talk about issues, gaps and how to overcome barriers.
• A speaker over lunch
• Presentation on Technology and Innovation followed by a break-out session to discuss how technology and innovation could influence the relationship and how we can use it as a foundation going forward.
• Facilitate discussion on vision for the future of the relationship and recommendations to the Council.
