Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo 2019 (MSRE)

Foreword

Established in 2014, Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo (hereinafter referred to as MSRE) aims at forging an international image for Guangdong that the province has been implementing the Belt and Road Initiative elaborately and making itself the best place for doing business and seeking cooperation. With 5 years’ cultivation and growth, MSRE has gradually developed into an exhibition platform with higher influences in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road, which is increasingly speeding up its marching pace to internationalization, branding and marketization and enlarging its international circle of friends and influential power. From 2019 on, MSRE will be removed from Dongguan to Guangzhou.

Overall Planning of the MSRE 

The MSRE  provides an exhibition area of 160,000 square meters (18 exhibition halls), which is divided into 3 comprehensive exhibition areas and 4specialized exhibition areas.

1. Comprehensive Exhibition Area

 (1) Area for the Countries Along the Belt and Road: Intensively showcase the integral image of the countries along theBelt and Road and their respective manufacturing products, hi-tech products, culture and tourism and specialty handicrafts.

(2) Area for Cities of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area: Intensively showcase the image of the “9+2” Cities in the Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area and demonstrate the advantages of the new industries, advanced manufacturing industry and modern service industry base of theGreater Bay Area.

(3）Area for Domestic Provinces and Cities: Focus on the display of provincial and municipal products, cultural products, folk customs and tourist routes.

2. Specialized Exhibition Areas

There are four categories, namely modern agriculture and food processing industry, advanced manufacturing industry, modern service industry and Marine economy .
