China’s sustainable food and packaging landscape for exporters in 2025

December 3, 2024

Event overview

China may still be perceived as being behind the curve when it comes to consumer sentiment on sustainable food and sustainable packaging. But there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.

The Chinese government is setting ambitious climate targets, to which all local sectors will be expected to contribute.  Domestic producers are reading the signals and gearing up.  This in turn will evolve local consumer sentiment and decision-making.  Local recycling behaviours in Shanghai are a good existing example of how things unfold in China. How should NZ exporters respond to these shifts in China? Secure your spot in this webinar to gain insights into this unique market and understand the trends driving change.

Why attend?

This online workshop by the New Zealand China Council will bring NZ exporters up to date on what’s coming down the track in China in 2025 in the areas of sustainable food and packaging, based on its 2024 sustainable food study tour to China and previous research on China’s national strategies and regulatory policies.

Attend this webinar to

  • Gain valuable knowledge on shifting policies, changing consumer sentiment, and the progress toward a circular economy in China;
  • Hear tips on how to navigate China’s changing regulations, adapt to shifting consumer demands, and overcome sustainable packaging challenges to align with China’s climate goals.
