Webinar: Auckland’s Business Ecosystems – the Indian and Chinese experience
New Zealand’s ability to successfully do business with Asia will be vital to our post-Covid economic recovery. Aucklanders of Chinese and Indian ethnicity make up close to 30 percent of the local population and are an important source of dynamism in the city’s economy. But little is known about the functioning of these ecosystems, and more can be done to harness their specialised cultural and business knowledge, as well as established networks with Asia.
Join the Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono as we hear from prominent Auckland businessman Kenneth Leong about the experiences of New Zealand’s Asian business diaspora in a unique new study.
Discussants include:
– Sameer Handa – Chair, India New Zealand Business Council (INZBC)
– Danny Chan – Trustee, Asia New Zealand Foundation Te Whītau Tūhono
– Brett O’Riley – Chief Executive, Employers and Manufacturers Association (EMA)
– Caroline Bilkey – Assistant Secretary/ Director of the Auckland office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
