New Zealand China Business Forum Held at Skycity Convention Centre
A business forum was held between a delegation of high level Chinese business leaders and Kiwi businesses in Auckland on 5 July. Stephen Jacobi, Executive Director of the New Zealand China Council delivered a speech on the Council’s Belt and Road Report: “Belt and Road Initiative – A Strategic pathway”. The speech can be viewed here. In addition, Stephen was on the panel discussing new opportunities in China-New Zealand business cooperation under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative, especially in areas of trade facilitation and innovation.
Martin Thomson, Chairman of NZ China Trade Association, Tim Knox, Director Market Access – Policy&Trade, Ministry of Primary Industries also provided remarks. Lu Minfang, President of Mengniu Group participated in a panel discussion on new opportunities for NZ – China dairy industry cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The Chinese delegation was brought together by the China Chamber of International Commerce.
