Mandarin set for boost in Kiwi schools

For the first time, Mandarin is set to overtake Spanish and French, as the most popular foreign language taught in New Zealand primary schools.

New Zealand China Council Education Working Group Chair Tony Browne recently welcomed 38 Mandarin Language Assistants to Wellington and was interviewed about the programme.
