Foreign investment has been good for New Zealand

Cathy Quinn, an executive board member of the New Zealand China Council argued in an op-ed in the Sunday Star Times that ‘foreign investment has been good for ordinary New Zealanders.

She gave three examples in terms of telecommunication, land and housing, and banking, as to how ordinary New Zealanders would be disadvantaged without foreign investment in those sectors.
