Arthur is an Auckland-born lawyer of Chinese ancestry from Guangdong province. He co-founded the law firm Loo & Koo in 1995 and since then has overseen its growth into New Zealand’s largest southeast Asian-focused law firm. Arthur practices in the areas of property law, business law, investment law and immigration law.
Arthur chairs the SKYCITY Auckland Community Trust and formerly chaired the Leukaemia and Blood Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. Arthur was awarded the New Zealand 1990 Commemoration Medal in recognition of services to New Zealand and, in the 2012 New Year Honours List, was awarded the Queen’s Service Medal for services to the Chinese community.
