Belt and Road Initiative Forum

Supported by Fonterra and Fudan University

Belt & Road and the New Zealand-China Connectivity Agenda

New Zealand was the first western country to sign signed a Memorandum of Arrangement on the Belt and Road Initiative with China during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang’s visit earlier this year.

What does Belt&Road mean for New Zealand?

This Forum is an opportunity to hear from, share and discuss with experts in NZ and overseas on how to better connect with China via the Belt and Road Innitiative. 

* Preliminary findings of the New Zealand China Council research project on Belt&Road will be shared.

Shen Dingli is a professor and associate dean at Fudan University’s Institute of International Studies. He is also an Honorary Visiting Professor of Washington University in St. Louis, and an active leader and member of many prestigious research associations and organizations. His research and publication covers China-US security relations, regional security and international strategy, arms control and nonproliferation, foreign and defense policy of China and the US etc. He has co-edited 17 books and published over 2,000 papers and articles worldwide.
